About Christmas

Christmas is an annual holiday all over the world that celebrates the Birth of Jesus. This date is merely traditional, and is not widely considered to be his actual date of birth. Actually some say that Jesus was born in September according to their understanding of the Scriptures.

This holiday is celebrated on December 25(in most places around the world). It is preceded by Christmas Eve(December 24) and in some countries is followed by Boxing Day(Deember 26).
The Armenian Apostolic Church observes Chrismas on January 6, while certain old rite or old style Eastern Orthodox Churces celebrate Chrismas on January 7 (the date of the Gregorian calendar which corresponds to 25 December on the Julian Calendar)
Traditions include the display of Nativity scenes, Chrismas Trees, the well-known exchange of gifts and Christmas cards, and the arrival of Santa Claus (Father Christmas).

So, the truth is that nobody can really know if it is actually the true birth of the Christ but we know that Christian leaders in 336 C.E. set the date of December 25 in an attempt to eclipse a popular pagan holiday in Rome that celebrated Natalis Solis Invincti, or “Birthday of the Invincible Sun God” on the winder solstice.

Christmas is defenetly a day that has an effect on the entire world with global implications on the peace, kindness and economy.
To many people, it is a favorite time of the year involving gift giving, parties and feasting. People decorate their homes and churches, cut down trees and bring them into their homes, decking them with silver and gold.

The date of December 25th comes from Rome and was a celebration of the Italic god, Saturn, and the rebirth of the sun god, and this was done long before Jesus was birth. The ancients believed that the sun god rose from the dead three days later as the new-born and benerable sun.
